It is time! The night is almost over and the day is almost near. Your salvation draws near and it is time to wake up from our slumber and put on the armor of light.
This was written 2,000 years ago and I want to ask you how much more does it apply to our lives today? We are always called to live in joyful expectation of our redemption.
The end of time is going to come like the flood in Noah’s time and Jesus compares it to that in Matthew 24:38. People will be eating, drinking, giving in marriage and marrying and then the end will happen – so be ready. If we look back at Noah’s life people thought he was crazy. He was literally building an ark when it had never rained before. But when the rain started and the waters rose, I cannot imagine how the people felt wishing they had taken Noah seriously. The time to put your faith in God is now.
People also think talking about Jesus coming back again is crazy but it is not because everything that has ever been said in the Bible has come true or is yet to come true. Jesus says, to all who believe, I am going to prepare a place for you and I will be back to take you with me. John 14:3
So it is time to wake up! Time to recognize the fact He is coming back and turn your hearts and minds back to your creator. Noah and His family were spared from the destruction and wrath of God and God’s people are also ultimately spared from His wrath as well. Even if we die on earth in a cruel way or face trial and tribulation we are spared. Because when we die it is a death to everlasting life and not a death to everlasting pain, sadness and separation and through all trials and tribulation we know that God will always be victorious.
